I wondered what happened to Teuthis, he spoke about the map, created a 'beta1' version and then disappeared. It's good to see an updated release of the map now. Is this an official release of the map and he'd like us to advertise it, or is he another one of these 'boycott Splatterladder' hypocrites ? Also, where are the botfiles for the map, or are you asking for botfiles to be made for it? I'm busy making new botfiles for another map at the moment, so I can't make them just now . -------------------- |

Hey folks, sorry for being late to the party. I apologise for being a bit silent and slow these days. I was swamped with family and work obligations. The beta3 is still up for you all to test, but the map is stable and plays well. I am open for criticism and wishes for the final version. I am deeply grateful that ETS tested the map, their comments have significantly improved the map. and I am a great fan of splatterladder by they way :) and please feel free to advertise the map. btw. I am working on an axis attack version of goldrush. But I need to get a bit out of my way to continue working on it. Too much to do work-wise...... best! @Teuthis is it possible to add spawnable command post for allies at fueldump_reverse map? Yes, sure. I assume you mean only at the allies CP, no? I asked for this actually when you guys tested the beta3 but the response was that it’s not needed atm. But if people think it’s good to spawn at the allied cp, then I can easily implement this in the final version. Not sure letting axis spawn at the axis cp is a good idea though. |

Can some improvements related to FPS be made? Original fueldump lags with higher player count and also has entity issue sometimes. Also it would be nice to add some sniper places. Not to deviate too much from original map but some subtle changes, would add some interesting things to game play.

Fueldump has a lot of open field, which all needs to be rendered in game. The more players are on the map, the more needs to be rendered at a time, which causes the lags. The only way to change this is to decrease the field of view, means I would need to place large mountains in the middle that block Vis. This would destroy the beauty of the map unfortunately and would not be liked I guess. And everything I add to enhance sniping would further decrease FPS I’m afraid since all this would need to be rendered and increases VIS data size. So i’m afraid we have to live with it.
