This is another great map, DRH, really big too. I've finished creating the bots for it, they need to be tested, though. I'll ask Kate if she'll do this.

My thoughts on the map, in respects to bots. The first Axis spawn only has a single door, so the bots struggle to leave it, there is usually mayhem at the door, like so:







I was wondering if it would be possible to move the Axis first spawn to here instead...:



...or make the first spawn exit a double door?


Also, the Axis second spawn is, in my opinion, too far away from the main factory, therefore, the Axis have very little chance to defend it. Could you move the Axis second spawn to somewhere nearer, such as here?




As you know, when the Allies build the command post they can spawn there, but the Axis bots never do this. I'm wondering what the gameplay would be like if the Axis could spawn at the command post too, when they construct it.

Thanks for the superb map, DRH, it great fun to play and reminds me very much of "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" thanks.gif super.gif .

yep i like to map big maps where you can play long time rolleye.gif ,thats good you made stupid botz for this map,isnt that on all maps with 1 door that stupid botz kiss the wall emm how many seconds it takes that all botz get out of baracks?,beccause all rooms in this map have only 1 door i consider the same on this door too,hmm now i must consider if i add a second door that the stupid botz get out


Wolf Enstein -I was wondering if it would be possible to move the Axis first spawn to here instead...:

devil - i consider the layout where to add spawns both teams for balance, on your marker then alies run in the hands of the axis and cant get inside the factory that why axis are in baracks as a good mapstart spanws and alies at the entrace,the entrace have 2 sideways where you can enter the factory so a % to enter

devil - i consider how near/far away is a good balance between both teams that defend/steal,only dump alies can make a comandpost and spawns there but not for axis,there are 2 options to find good balance you let the botz play and find out how % balance win/lose is,or on server testing players then we see % balance win/lose/defend/steal,then i make my todo list

If the doors are double doors, as they are at the Axis second spawn, DRH, it makes things much easier for the bots:




I give them the option of opening both doors, so even if they encounter problems, they can solve them quickly and easily, like so:





I've played the map several times, only with bots, I still believe that the second Axis spawn is too far away from the main factory, especially with the Allies being able to spawn there.

However, as you say, things will be clearer when the map is tested with more human players nicken.gif .

I'm sorry about the problems with the first Axis spawn exit, but as I mentioned, there's nothing else that I can do, in respects to that single door. If you ever add a double door I'll amend the botfiles nicken.gif .

at first i add the single axis mapstart spawn to a double door on my todo list, the rest we can see on a live server how balance is both team /steal/defend
