The [GMC]-Clan organizes a BaseRace Tournament again this year!

The Baserace tournament will be hold according to registration strength from the 12th July on! Therewith the time span until the quarter finals is long enough, so all preliminary games can take place. On the following weekend the round of the last 16 starts - of course with ET-TV broadcasts. This time its not only a matter of renown and honor, the victor of the tournament will win a 16 slot public server for a half year. We hope also to be able to distribute stylish banners among the first 3 places for your homepage!

The number of participants is limited to 32 clans (for now). The matches take place on the servers of the [GMC]-Clan (located in Germany). Additionally Teamspeak-channels will be available. The link for registration and further informations will follow later today.

Here the preliminary rules (more details will be available on the website):

1. Map pool
   1. Base Race beta3a.
2. Tournament rules (similar to the Championsleague)
   1. Matches are played 8 vs. 8.
   2. Groups will be randomly drawed by GMC Clan.
   3. The tournament will be splitted into 8 groups á 4 clans.
   4. During group-phase each clan plays one match vs. the other 3 clans in its group.
   5. The first 2 clans are qualified for the round of the last sixteen.
   6. After the group matches there will be 1/8 finals, then quarter finals, semifinal finals and a final.
3. Match rules
   1. There will be 2 rounds in a match.
   2. Every round lasts 30 minutes.
   3. When a base is completely built in the first round, the second round will be limited to timelimit of the first round.
   4. Frequent switching of players during a match is not allowed and can be restricted by a referee.
   5. The team which is able do build their base further than the other team is the winner of a round. However if both teams have equal score the round will be played on until one team captures another objective (sudden death).
   6. Every match win is worth 3 points.
   7. For a draw both teams receive 1 point.
   8. There are no draws in 1/8 finals and later. In case of a draw a 3rd Round will be played to determine a winner.
   9. All classes and all weapons are allowed. As an example a team can use 8 Panzerfausts, however we expect all players to be aware of map objectives and goals.
   10. We will be pleased to welcome drunk players to the tournament, nevertheless this will be no excuse for breaking the rules.
   11. All matches take full use of the XP-system, so you can gain points and promotions. After each round the XP will reset back to zero.
   12. Flaming, insults and similiar are only allowed in special rooms on TS. Any similar behavior somewhere else is forbidden and a player (as well as his clan) will be disqualified.
4. Cheats
   1. We do not tolerate any cheats, any use of aimbots, modificated drivers, wallhacks or similiar programs. Each player and his clan using such modifications will be banned and reported to Punkbuster with his ET-GUID.
   2. External programs which interfere with ET (such as dynamite timers or spawn timers) are prohibited as well.
5. Referees
   1. All games are observed by two referees who will take care about fair play.
   2. All games start at half or full hour. There is a tolerance of 5 minutes. If the clans can't deploy a full team after this period the referees are allowed to start the match. However its up to the referees how long to wait.
   3. Only referees can pause the game. There are no pauses for smoking or phone etc. The game will only pause in case of Punkbuster bugs and connection problems (999) - for all other cases its up to the referees.
   4. Wins and losses will be confirmed by referees.

Mixed teams (i.e. several players from different clans form one team) are allowed!

For the TS-channel you need to send a password to Allerleirauh@gmc-clan.de. [GMC] will then setup a TS-channel for your team on 213.239.213.239:8767.

The matches will take place on the [GMC]-Servers with latest ETPro installed. The config uses common league settings, but landmine limit is increased to 15.

We just started a new clan out of the regular players on our server (shiven.net). We are used to play together so not a bunch of noobs. Problem is we don't know yet which 8 persons will play the tournament. Is it possible to sign up anyway than?

From place 32 an on, are those teams listed, who are on the waitinglist. If one of allready registerd teams, should leave the tournament, one of those on the waitinglist will take their place.

Until 25.6 every team must be fully registerd and all players need a ET-Pro Guid. However it is possible to add players after this date. Remember that you need to send an E-Mail to allerleihrau@gmc-clan.de including a password for your TS-Channel.
Drawing of the groups will randomly and anonymus. Every teamname will be written on a peace of paper and sealed in an ü-egg (kinder egg...). After that the eggs will be lay down in a box and drawn to the teams, by doughters of our Co-Leader (Diana). All teamleaders are invited to take part on the drawing zeremonie, wich will take part on Sunday 25.6. 20:00 GMT +1.
The games will start on 11.7. at 20:00 GMT+1 with the preeliminary encounters. We have 8 gaming servers, so 16 clans will have their first match on this date. All other details will be posted after the drawing.
