Ranking Modification Options

Today the ranking got changed. Some of you complained that the time bonus had have to much influence on the rating and so we fulfil your wishes.
The time bonus get now calculated logarithmically which means with every hour of playing time the time bonus get less. Player like ETPlayer and such are actually disabled but even this players wouldn't be on top of the list.
The Toplists are calculated with monday with the new system, the Player Info is already calculated by now.

Here's an example:

We take the Global-Toplist #1, NewBie:
OLD: EFF=6.09 (+ time bonus 17,19) = Rating =23.28 at 11.6 days calculated time:
NEW: EFF=6.09 + time bonus 2,73 = Rating =8,82

newbie falls back alot .... his top-position was only because of his time bonus.

Now we take a "normal" player, [CoS]Ripper:
OLD: EFF=6,67 + time bonus 1.194 = Rating =7.864 at 17.2 hrs. playing time
NEW: EFF=6,67 + time bonus 0.95 = Rating =7.62

Ripper's time bonus just felt a little bit.

BOTTOM LINE: Newbie got more time bonus than Ripper as he played more but the time bonus isn't anymore 2/3 of his Rating.
You can say in an easy way: for the first 20 hrs. you get a time bonus of 1, for the next 20 hrs. 0,5, for the next 20 hrs. 0,2 ... you still get enough but the difference gets more and more less.

So let me ask a couple of questions. The first question is these rankings just for the last week, does it go by month, or is accumalative and never reset?

Second I know you state there are still some issues with double names. Right now it shows that I am ranked 11th but there is no 1st, 2nd, or 4th spots on the list. Why is that?

Anyway I am just a very good player who loves stats and such. Just curious, thanks in advance.

For the missing spots in the list ... I guess this are such names like ETPlayer, UnnamedPlayer, etc. which are disabled from our side.

If you play on a continous base your stats will never reset. See also the english FAQ's.

I would love to see in the future what clans are in what place. I know I saw my clan (Phreakz)

It will come grungy But we're still in the beta phase and a flewless working tracker has the highest priority for the moment.
