This info give us Even Balance! [Thanks for help!@Sonyfan]
First be sure that your system meets the minimum system requirements. Make sure that you have the latest video and sound card drivers available for your hardware from the manufacturer's websites. Close down any other programs you may have running prior to running the game. If ET locks up shortly after joining a server you can try the following solution: Before joining a server press the Tilde " ~ " key to bring the console down, then type in the following: /pb_system 1 nForce4-Board: nForce4-Users getting a freeze or lockup when joining a server should make sure they install up-to-date nForce drivers (the original drivers for nForce4 are known to cause problems). NVidia Driverspage: ->>> http://www.nvidia.de/page/drivers.html General hint: If you are getting full lockups of the computer when entering a PB enabled Server, do the following: - check if it happens on non-PB server - check for latest graphics driver - check for latest chipset driver - if you have a SATA controller - see below SATA controller: Check what SATA controller was built into your system. Check on the controller manufacturers website for updated drivers (especially WHQL drivers). If none was found check the chipset manufacturers website for such a driver, after that check the mainboards manufacturers website. If no success at all these places do the following: Delete the driver in the device manager. Let windows find the driver and let it search for a capable driver at "windows update". It should find a WHQL certified driver now. That should work. Also, close all other programs (especially debuggers both user mode and kernel), they could be interfering with PB. And now for all Krauts out there Diese Information kamen von Even Balance! -------------------- |

UPDATE: 08.01.2007
PUNKBUSTER LAG FIX Deutsch: pb Ordner löschen, neuen pb Ordner erstellen, pbsetup.exe in den pb Ordner kopieren und Update ausführen. Jetzt im pb Verzeichnis eine Datei namens "pbcl.cfg" erstellen und in die pbcl.cfg folgendes einfügen: (oder klicke auf den download) English: delete the complete pb-folder, create a new pb-folder, copy pbsetup.exe in the pb-folder and start update. Create now in the pb-folder a file with the names "pbcl.cfg" and copy the following text in this file. (or download it) QUELLTEXT pb_sleep 500 pb_security 0 ZITAT PB_Security [0=no, 1=yes]
When set to 0, PunkBuster will accept all "update" files without verifying that they are authentic; the default is 1 which should not normally be changed except for LAN environments where there is no Internet Access and/or you fully trust the Servers you are connecting to PB_Sleep [Period] Holds the period of time (milliseconds) that PunkBuster "sleeps" between processing cycles; the default is 60; lower numbers will cause PunkBuster to process events more times each second which also has the effect of increasing the bandwidth used by PunkBuster; Players with a modem connection will probably want to set this as high as possible
