connection problem Options

hey every 1
since i have a new pc amd 4800+ dualcore with 2 gig mem
and a onboard ati x 1250 vid card( gonna buy a new 1 soon )
i can play et but my connection keeps changing from adsl to unselected.so my fps drops from 100 to 20
i reinstalled et made a new cfg but nothing works.......
i also let et play on 1 core but that also doesnt work??
i hope some 1 can help me out.
