id released a patch for the latest buffer overflow exploit for the Q3A engine. You can download it here:
QUOTE("Readme") If you run a server with any older version, please upgrade or consider turning off autodownload ( set sv_allowDownload to 0 ). Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory servers http/ftp download feature is not affected by CVE-2006-2082. If you don't wish to upgrade, you can decide to only enable http/ftp downloads and disable legacy downloads in that particular case.

All those links point to the same ftp-server: ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/ So I wonder why you get such error message. The only reason I can think of is, that you couldn't download, because to many users tried to connect and id limits the connections. But then you would get another error message - something like: "Too many users".

the patch dont work i overwrited old files with new tried to join my fav server and all i got back was integrity failure disconnected tried a few times still no joy gone back to old files and workin fine ? any one any ideas on how to make em work ????????????????

nur wegen einen bug muss jetzt etpro, etpub, jaymod usw. geupdatet werden, ich bin mir net sicher ob da alle mitziehen werden........

So if I update my server, than^players with 2.60 will not be able to connect unless they update themselves to 2.60b ?

me wanna know that alsow, because i am still not sure if all goes ok. But i connected to warhammer server that has patched it. And had no problems connecting. So i think when we patch our own server it must go ok aswell. But i dont know for sure. Saw ppl having troubles with it.

Only servers should use this path (for now). Unpatched clients can connect to patched and unpatched servers. When you patch the client you may get a PB error like "Corrupted File Memory", regardless of server version.

Ah thx for clearing that up. Yeah if you patch the client some pb kick about memory.
But if i patch my server will it be just switching those 2 files? + eula? And it would be patched?  -edit- just patched it runs like a charm

Hi there
Can someone tell me what's wrong with my ET now? I have replaced old ET.exe file and ETDED.exe file in my ET folder and now for somehow reason after laoding the map it disconnect with the message: Integrity Error. A clanmate made the same and it works  I precise we tried on same server...It was working properly before with my 2.60 version and now it's crap. What the hell is going on? Jason. |

install enemy territory again into an other folder
then copy and paste et.exe and etded.exe from the new folder to the old one with integrity failure then it will work  das patchen aber nicht vergessen und am besten du benutzt noch einen patchselector so kannst du zwischen 2.55 2.56 2.60 2.60b wechseln hier findest du zb einen ET Patch Selector 2.60b This post has been edited by E_BABA: Sep 27 2006, 05:29 AM --------------------  |
