[splatterladder] Board _ [splatterladder] - Changes _ Serverinfo - Clan assignement

Posted by: schnoog Oct 19 2011, 12:59 PM

Hi,
I`m proud to present you a long requested feature for our loved Splatterladder:

It`s possible to assign a server to a clan by adding a single command to the server config:

sets sl_clanid "CLANID"

where CLANID is the Splatterladder- ClanID.

I hope you enjoy this little enhancement.

Kind regards

Schnoog

Another cfg- feature is implemented now:

If you have a webpage with the rules of your server, you can simply add a line to server.cfg to reflect the Rule-Page-Link in the serverinfo-page

sets sl_rulesurl "http://www.the-rule-page.com"

If a sl_rulesurl entry is found, the link will be displayed like here: http://et.splatterladder.com/?mod=serverinfo&idx=658158

I hope you enjoy our service

Kind regards

Schnoog

Hi Marianne,

please try it without the . infront of sl_rulesurl.
Than the ruleslink shoud be visible within a half an hour on the serverinfo page of conerning server.

Kind Regards

Marianne, the rules-url is persistent in SL, so it`s saved once , until you change it again (same with the clanID).
When SL scanned the server once and has received this "tags", you can simple delete them in your config.

You can see it http://et.splatterladder.com/?mod=serverinfo&idx=580744

And thanks for the flowers ;)

Kind Regards
Volker

The most easy way to setup those things is to simple run a rcon command while playing:

/rconpassword YourRconPassword
/rcon sets sl_clanid "XXXXXX"
/rcon sets sl_rulesurl "http://the-page-holding-your-rules"

Even if the server is restarted SL holds those data until they got overwritten by new ones.
