Hi Fellow Server Admins,
Im Capt.HorseBalls, the server admin for [FUBR] Clan. We have a little problem, we dont know how it happened, but sv_cheats was set to 1 lately. What we tried to disable it was: forcecvar sv_cheats 0, which didnt work. We also tried adding +set sv_cheats 0 and +seta sv_cheats 0 and forcecvar sv_cheats 0 to the startup line and server.cfg, which also did not help. What we do see is that in the /27960/etpub directory, contains a file named ETCONFIG.cfg containing seta sv_cheats "1" If we delete that file and restart the server, the file is remade, with sv_cheats 1 in it again. Its a non-PB server btw. And running an compiled version of ETpub 0.9.1 and omnibot 0.7 Is there someone who knows what might be the problem and how to fix it? Thx! |

Are you loading the ETCONFIG.cfg with any of the used configs the server reads at startup? -------------------- |

No, I removed a command called exec et_autoexec from the server.cfg and deleted etconfig.cfg and restarted the server, that didnt help out .

I am not really conform with etpub cfgs but when i start my server i directly load the cfgs in the startupline without any autoexec or etconfig. I just add +exec server.cfg +exec mod.cfg + exec my.cfg (for example) and the most important cfg is the last one that defines the cvars on the server so as sv_cheats. I found some topics on the net about older nightly builds of etpub that required sv_cheats 1 to work with omni-bot. But i didnt find a direct hit with a similar problem as you have.

Rootserver, i localized the problem to be in omnibot 0.7
If i remove it completely out of the server folder, the cheats go off. If i reupload it back to the server, the cheats go on again. Really strange... |

Solved by recompiling etpub with BUILD=release
