We are proud that so many of you - the users of splatterladder - have taken the chance to use your voice and voted for a rating on non anticheat protected servers.
The rating method we use to rate these servers will be xp based as we always did. But the rating possibilities will be different from protected servers.

We were discussing quite a long time about what to do. Enabling a 1:1 rating for a non protected server just doesnt felt "right" for us. Even though we all know that you can find or buy stuff that tricks the latest pb versions available, there are just hundreds of things out there that work on an unprotected server. Also we havent been satisfied with the friendly fire rating that has been 1:1 until now. So we used this chance based upon your request of rating for unprotected servers, to modify FF disabled rating too.

We will have four "ratinglines" implemented on splatterladder.
1. a proteted server that has friendly fire enabled will earn 100% of possible rating value
2. a protected server that has friendly fire disabled will earn 90 % of possible rating value
3. an unprotected server that has friendly fire enabled will earn 75 % of possible rating value
4. an unprotected server that has friendly fire disabled will earn 67,5 % of possible rating value

These values count ofcourse for the players on the servers as written.

We know that many of you wont be satisfied with our decission at all, but we cant do it right for everyone and we think that the defined ratinglines will be fair for the moment. When there are no more anticheat solutions in the future, we might change those values once again, but then we will again count on you to use your voice.

The ratinglines will be implemented asap.

With the situation the way it is in our game right now I'd say that you've come up with the fairest and best solution so far, guys. Every Wolf:ET server will now have a rating, a rating based on the set up that the server Admins themselves have chosen to run. Great work as always super.gif .

When new system will be on, can you please make a sticky explaining other parameters: mini length-session, mininum players, number-of-bots allowed, maps with obj or not, ... even if no change, will be useful to remind us. Thanks in advance.
And as says my virtual-bro Thanks for great work friends.gif

The first valid sessions are played and the new rating is running. If you experience anything unsuspected please leave a comment.

Awesome!!

One quick question: Who decided for 67.5% rating? I mean why .5% and not 67% or 65%? Just out of curiosity and nothing else!

Glad to see FF On server getting more rating!! This is good thing, I like it!

Thanks Guys! We really appreciate it!
I have to say I'm not so happy about getting partial ratings but I understand your logic.
This is Definitely a move in the right direction.
We know we don't cheat and we keep cheaters off our server so at least we can compare our ratings with each other.

Thanks Again Guys!

Sorry for the delay daredevil.
We were discussing different percentages for the different settings and this was just the combination of ratingline 2 and 3:
QUOTE
2. a protected server that has friendly fire disabled will earn 90 % of possible rating value
3. an unprotected server that has friendly fire enabled will earn 75 % of possible rating value

what means 0.9 multiplied with 0.75 resulted in a ratingfactor of 0.675:
QUOTE
4. an unprotected server that has friendly fire disabled will earn 67,5 % of possible rating value
