Moinsen zusammen,

Ein User , der mich über Wolffiles angeschrieben hat, hat folgendes Problem.
Sobald er versucht auf einen öffentlichen Server zu connecten bekommt er
nach wenigen Sekunden ein graues Bild (Sound bleibt aber normal).
Wenn er aber auf einem selbstgehosteten Lanserver verbindet, läuft alles
ohne Probleme.

Ich war jetzt schon mehrfach via TV auf seinem Rechner und hab verzweifelt nach dem Problem
gesucht aber ohne Erfolg.

Was hat er schon alles probiert:

Win7 neu aufgesetzt
DX neu installiert
ET neu installiert
Grakatreiber scheint aktuell zu sein

Sein System:

Windows 7 Ultimate
Dual Core Prozessor + 2 GB Ram
Intel Graka = 256 MB Ram (Laut Win7 DXDiag)
DSL 2000


Vllt weis ja jemand eine Lösung...

kumpel hatte mal nen laptop mit ner intel graka, war unspielbar.

Schätz mal schon aber ich frag mal nach.

Already deleted "etintro.roq" ? etmain/video ..

Sollte eigentlich gelöscht sein.

Hat er einen der inzwischen vielen "alternativen" Installer verwendet, oder ein Vanialla ET mit manuellem Update?
Auch wenn 99% sagen es mache keinen Unterschied:
Ich kenne den Unterschied, daß ich mit 5 dieser tollen all-in-one Installer nie vernünftiges Spiel hinbekommen habe, immer Abstürze.
Mit ner Vanilla Installation klappts hingegen immer bei mir.

Falls Du keine hast, gibt mir irgendnen Zugang zu nem Serverordner und ich lad Sie Dir hoch Chris. (aber nicht mehr heute abend )

Er hat den (NoQuarter 1.2.9 6b & Omnibot 0.81) Ready4Play runtergeladen. Der funzt eigentlich auch.
Das weis ich weil ich damit auch , ohne Probleme , auf unseren Testserver connecte.
Aber Vanilla ET hab ich glaube auch noch irgendwo rumfliegen.
Werds ihm mal ans Herz legen...

"ETc|Jay" hatte gefragt, ob ich eine Graka habe, die intern ist.
Ich habe schon google versucht aus zu schlachten - Habe es aber leider nicht nicht gefunden, wie ich dies herausfinden kann.
Es ist nicht mein persöhnlicher Computer - Sondern der, von meiner Freundin.

Wenn ich meinen Laptop zu Hause benutze um ET zu spielen (gleiche Installation), funktioniert alles - Auch ohne grauen Bildschirm.
Also ich nehme langsam an, das es an den Computer liegt.

Vielleicht gibts ja noch Möglichkeiten wie man dieses Problem umgehen kann. :)
Würde mich auf weitere Post's sehr freuen.

Denn auf einen Lanserver kannst du ja ohne Probleme verbinden...

Mitlerweile alle Treiber auf den neusten Stand. Endergebnis = Graues Bild.
Mir hat das Spiel ein Heiden Spaß gemacht.

82945G Express Chipset Family

Das ist doch ne GMA950 oder? Wieviel fps bekommst Du denn damit bei deinem PC auf dem ET ohne die Fehler läuft? Ich würd im schlimmsten Fall 10 oder 20 Ocken investieren und irgendwas gebrauchtes bei ebay & Co schiessen. Da ist doch selbst ne 7800 oder 7900 schon flüssiger drauf, oder nicht?

Oder fürn paar Eiro mehr ein bisschen was mit mehr bums und trotzdem bezahlbar, da alt: nein, das bin nicht ich der die anbietet =).

Oder hier mal die Frage in die Runde ob jemand noch ne alte Karte rumfahren hat, die er gegen Versand oder nen 10er abgeben würde?

Ich könnt da mal mit den Karten anfangen:
Geforce 7300LE passiv mit Thermaltake 40er Lüfter mit 4-pin Stromanschluß
Ati Radeon 1600SE bei der der Original Lüfter inkl. Kühlkörper mal abfiel, aktuell ist da ein Passivkühler von nem Thinclient samt 40er Netzteillüfter aus nem alten Dual-Pentium 3 Server drauf

Beides nix was Leistung hat, die 7300LE dürft auf Augenhöhe oder unter der GMA950 liegen, die Ati hat dank Überhitzung nach dem Abfall des Kühlers damals wohl nen leichten Speicherschaden weg - läuft aber.

Gegen Versandkostenerstattung kann ich beide gern zur Verfügung stellen

Meine halbwegs noch brauchbare 7800 GT läuft in meinem Rechner, da meine 7850 noch in Reparatur ist (seit inzwischen 4 Wochen....)

Vielleicht finden sich aber noch der ein oder andere "Spender" hier?

Hätte noch ne Nvidia GF 8500GT 256mb ddr2 pci mit dvi und agp Stecker hinten dran da.
Ich teste die an nem Pc fals Interesse besteht.
Haben will ich dafür nix. Nur Versand sollte bezahlt werden.
