I have to admit that I find it confusing at times as to when and what has actually been released in relation to "RtCW Venom Mod", Ron. There's never a version such as, "RtCW Venom Mod 6.1", or something like that and never any release notes either, explaining what exactly has been changed from the last update gruebel.gif .

The reason I'm saying this, amigo, is because we've already advertised version 6.0, just a little while ago:
Venom Mod 6.0 nicken.gif

Wolf Enstein
I've gone to "ModDB" and checked things out, Ron. I've found some small update information and I can see from the file download that this is actually version 6.3 .

There's actually been quite a few updates in version 6, over a period of time. I think we'll highlight them all in the next advertisement.

Thanks for the update, Ron thanks.gif .

My mistake, thanks for the correction. You see, the file's title said Rtcw Venom Mod 6.0, so I thought that was the correct version number. help.gif

I've done that a couple of times too, Ron. I've visited "ModDB" and my notifications tell me that there's been 2 updates to "RtCW Venom Mod", so I go there and check it out and don't see anything, just the "same" 6.0 version. However, it's not the same, it had actually been updated and I missed it depp.gif .

From now on, mate, when I visit there, I'll just check these two entries:

Once you finally realise how straightforward it is to spot if there's a new update or not, you think to yourself, "How the hell did I miss that, first time round?" ... whistling.gif

Hey Ron, I've been testing different textures for my "RtCW HD" pack, what do you think of this castle wall with snow effect?

I'm wondering whether to go with this or just have a snow outline at the base of the wall instead gruebel.gif ?

The walls themselves look fine, but the snow effect needs work. My suggestion is to keep playing around with it for now. nicken.gif

Yo$hik has released an RtcwCoop version of the Rtcw SP addon called Stalingrad! You can download it here: https://www.4shared.com/zip/o38vaiipgm/coop_Stalingrad.html

I saw where this new release was posted on WolfFiles, but the link doesn't work for me. I get this error on Firefox and another error on Google Chrome. gruebel.gif

Have you seen this before, mate, 'Return to Castle Wolfenstein' ported Onto 'PS Vita'?

Wolf Enstein
I don't know if many of us are aware of the excellent website, 'Lone Bullet', but it's definitely worth mentioning. It has many resources there for 'Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory' and 'Return to Castle Wolfenstein' too.

Here's a couple of links to the files hosted on their website:

1] Return to Castle Wolfenstein

2] Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory

Those textures look nice and atmospheric. My only concern is on those final 2 screenshots, where the engraving on the walls appears to be a German soldier holding a rifle. I don't think such a thing would be found on an ancient crypt wall engraving. rolleye.gif

While my Castle Wewelsburg mod for Rtcw SP is temporarily stopped, I have something much smaller planned! Please take the time to read this article: https://www.moddb.com/members/ronboy/blogs/...ive-but-on-hold

The way I'm looking at it, Ron, is the way I always do, in respects to 'Return to Castle Wolfenstein' singleplayer and that's from a 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' perspective. I always see the German troops moving into enemy territory, completely taking it over with all their flags, banners, posters and even their own architecture. They build on what's already there and make it their own nicken.gif .

That's the question that Wolfetplayer, the creator of 'RealRtCW', is asking over on 'ModDB', folks.

I was over on the 'SplashDamage' forums, in the 'RtCW' mapping section, where I saw a post from the superb 'RtCW' mapper, Dialog.
